In celebration of the Road Safety Month and UN Global Road Safety Week from May 16-22, 2022, AAP joins the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety in its call to #CommitToAct.
“Commit To Act Streets For Life” is a continuation of the #LOVE30 Streets For Life Campaign that was launched during last year’s UN Global Road Safety Week.
The #Love30 Campaign is a call for 30 km/h speed limits to be the norm for cities, towns and villages worldwide.
This year, the road safety advocates are reinforcing that call through the #CommitToAct Campaign—a call on our decision makers to “commit to act” to ensure safe mobility for everyone.
AAP President Joe Ferreria shared his thoughts on what the public can do to support the campaign and make #StreetsForLife a reality through a short video.
Following the AAP President’s lead, AAP employees also pledged their commitment for the campaign. As the National Auto Club, we are in the frontlines in calling for policy-makers to make Philippine roads #StreetsForLife.
AAP Brand Ambassadors Gabie Desales and Chenee Jimenez also participated and used their influence and platforms in promoting the said campaign.
The AAP Advocacy Department also included the #CommitToAct campaign in its road safety activities for the whole Road Safety Week.
San Diego Elementary School students embraced the #CommitToAct campaign after learning about the importance of being safe on the road through the Stay Bright Seminar.
After a series of Road Safety Mentors Training, the officials and personnel of Barangay Kamuning in Quezon City also supported the call to #CommitToAct and make their local roads safe for their community members.
Join our Week of Action, and together, let’s make our roads #StreetsForLife!
